Women’s Track & Field 4x400m Relay Runs at Penn Relays

Ravens travel to Stonehill on Friday

Zeigler Zeigler ran the lead leg in the 4x400-meter relay for the Ravens on Thursday at the Penn Relays.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (April 25, 2013) – The Franklin Pierce University women's track and field team sent its 4x400-meter relay team to the prestigious Penn Relays, the oldest and largest track meet in the country, on Thursday to make the program's first appearance at the event.

An all-freshman team of Nicki Zeigler (Circleville, N.Y.), Ashley Maresca (Brant Lake, N.Y.), Hadley Doubleday (Plymouth, Mass.) and Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) took the track in the ninth of nine heats in the event at Franklin Field. The Ravens posted a time of 4:24.27 to finish sixth out of seven teams in their heat and 78th out of 79 teams in the event overall.

The Ravens return to the track on Friday, April 26, when they travel to the Stonehill Skyhawk Invitational at W.B. Mason Stadium in Easton, Mass.
