Three Compete for Women’s Track & Field at Dartmouth Relays

Lambert 11th in 800m run

Lambert Lambert finished just outside the top 10 in the 800 meters on Sunday at the Dartmouth Relays.

HANOVER, N.H. (January 13, 2013) – A trio of runners represented the Franklin Pierce University women's track and field team on Saturday at the Dartmouth Relays, held at Leverone Field House.

Freshman Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) provided the best showing for the Ravens in the meet, which was loaded with Division I talent. She finished 11th out of 20 competitors in the 800 meters, with a time of 2:29.88.

Joining Lambert in the 800 meters was freshman Ashley Maresca (Brant Lake, N.Y.), who placed 18th with a time of 2:40.31. Elsewhere, freshman Danielle Koch (Coventry, Conn.) ran a 5:54.29 in the mile, to finish 21st.

Host Dartmouth ran away with the team title in the meet, racking up 185 points to better second-place Northeastern by 94.

The Ravens return to action on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Wesleyan Invitational in Middletown, Conn.
