Womens Tennis Shutout By Stonehill, 9-0
Ravens back in action Oct. 11 at Colby-Sawyer
Bianca Lapointe and the Ravens took on Stonehill on Tuesday
afternoon.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 7, 2008) –
Four Skyhawks were victorious in both singles and doubles on
Tuesday afternoon as Stonehill defeated the Franklin Pierce
University women’s tennis team, 9-0, in Northeast-10
Conference play at Franklin Pierce.
The doubles team of junior Bianca
Lapointe (Plainfield, Conn./Saint Bernard) and sophomore
Lauren Smilovich (Meriden,
Conn./Sacred Heart Academy) posted the strongest showing of
the day for Franklin Pierce. The duo forced extra games before
falling, 9-7, to sophomore Emily Broderick (Middlebury,
Conn./Pomperaug) and Hailey McNeil.
For Stonehill, Bacall Brooks, sophomore Lindsey Herchel (Hampden,
Mass./Minnechaug Regional), Amy Toegemann and Leah White were all
victorious in both singles and doubles on the afternoon.
The Ravens (1-3, 1-3 NE-10) return to the court on Saturday, Oct.
11 when they travel to take on Colby-Sawyer in a non-conference
match at 10:30 a.m. in New London, N.H. Stonehill (3-0, 3-0 NE-10)
concludes its fall schedule on Oct. 8 at home against Holy
Cross.
