Kelley Nets OT Winner in 1-0 Women's Hockey Thriller vs. Assumption

WINCHENDON, M.A. (10/12/24) – It only took 58 seconds of overtime for Mikayla Kelley (Eagan, Minn.) to get the Ravens on the board and secure the NE10 conference win.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• After 60 minutes of scoreless play, overtime was needed to decide a winner in Winchendon. Just :58 seconds into overtime, senior forward Mikayla Kelley carried the puck into the offensive zone along the right wing and ripped a shot from the right circle that picked the top right corner.  

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS: 

• The Ravens outshot the Greyhounds 30-29. 

• Neither team converted on the power play, as the Ravens went 0-5 and the Greyhounds went 0-4.  

• The Ravens won 30 face-offs compared to 27 from the Greyhounds. 

• Junior goaltender Jill Hertl (Highland Park, Ill.) posted another phenomenal performance in net (2-0-0), recording a 29-save shutout, her 1st of the season.
