Women’s Golf: Ravens Win for Second Straight Week

KEENE, N.H. (09/17/24) – For the second straight week, senior Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) was the individual medalist. For the second straight week, she led the Franklin Pierce University women's golf team to victory as well atop an eight-team field at the Franklin Pierce Fall Women's Classic. Prukmathakul's Monday 74 (+2) keyed a second-round 149 for the Ravens, who scored an eight-stroke win over second-place Laval University. The two-day event was held at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene, N.H.

Prukmathakul had been in second place after Monday's play and turned in Tuesday's second-lowest round to secure her second win of the 2024 fall season. She put together a 36-hole line of 74-77-- 149, which was good for a three-shot victory over a trio tied-second at 152. Those in the tie for second included the first-round leader, Saint Anslem junior Lydia Tufts, at 73-79-- 152, along with Franklin Pierce senior Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand) at 76-76—152 and West Chester junior Marqaux Solis at 75-77—152.

Franklin Pierce had three players in the top six and put all four members of its lineup inside the top 15 of the 42-golfer field. Behind the Thai pair, graduate student Tess Dietz (Flager Beach, Fla.) finished tied-sixth at 78-77—155. Junior Lorelai Flanagan (Arlington, Mass.) finished tied-ninth at 77-80-- 157.
