Women’s Golf Fires a 310 (+26), Leads Field After Round One of Le Moyne Invite

EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. (September 14, 2019) The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team headed into the clubhouse after the first round of the Le Moyne College Fall Invitational with the lead Saturday evening at the Links at Erie Village.

FPU shot a 310 (+26) over the first 18 holes. Southern New Hampshire University (325, +41) and the College of Saint Rose (340, +56) round out the top three squads.

Three Raven golfers rank within the individual top-four. Reigning Northeast-10 Conference Golfer and Rookie of the Week Jinnapat Rittawee (Kanchanaburi, Thailand) shot a one-over par 72 to lead the field. She currently ranks first in total pars (14). Teammate Zoey Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) is tied for second with Gabby Thomas of SNHU as they both putted home a 75 (+4). Yamamoto leads all players with three birdies. Finally, freshman Alia Godek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) rounds out the top-four at 79 (+8).

Senior Taylor Hartley (Canton, Ga.) and sophomore Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.) contributed to the Raven scoring with 84 (+13) and 86 (+15) scorecards.

The women's team hits the links tomorrow for the final round.
