
Women’s Basketball Drop NE10 Contest to No. 4 Bentley
RINDGE, N.H. (1/14/25) – The Franklin Pierce women's basketball team faced a tough challenge on Tuesday evening, taking on nationally ranked No. 4 Bentley University at The Fieldhouse. Despite a strong effort led by Colette Mulderig (Scranton, Pa.), the Ravens were unable to overcome Bentley's balanced attack, ultimately falling 64-44.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bentley started strong with a 7-0 run to open the game, but Colette Mulderig (Scranton, Pa.) got the Ravens on the board with a tip-in layup off a shot from Paige Slaven (Long Beach Island, N.J.).
- Mulderig contributed consistently to the second quarter, scoring four baskets to help the Ravens stay in the fight.
- The second half saw Bentley gain momentum with two three-pointers from different players, extending their lead.
- Geanna Bryant (Boston, Mass.) highlighted the Ravens' nine-point third quarter with a three-pointer.
- In the fourth quarter, Janessa Gonzalez (Meriden, Conn.) hit a late three-pointer, bringing the score to 61-42 with just over two minutes left to play.
- Slaven added four free throws in the final quarter as the Ravens continued to battle, but Bentley ultimately secured the win with a 64-44 final score.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:
- Colette Mulderig led the team with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
- The Ravens shot 36.7% from the field. The Falcons shot 38.5%.
