RINDGE, N.H. (February 19, 2020)Izzy Lipinski (Farmington, Conn.) poured in a career-high 32 points and came away with a personal-best six steals in a 63-59 loss to Northeast-10 Conference opponent Saint Anselm College Wednesday evening at The Fieldhouse. With the win, the no. 7 regionally-ranked Hawks move to 17-6, 13-4 NE10 while Franklin Pierce University women's basketball drops to 10-14, 4-13 NE10.

Lipinski scored all 13 points in the first quarter for the Ravens going 6-of-9 (66.7%) from the floor. She gobbled up a team-high nine boards and three blocks while converting 14-of-23 (60.9%) of her field goals. Lisa Sulejmani (Burlington, Vt.) was the only other Raven in double-figures with 16 points to go with five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Sammi Gallant (Ipswich, Mass.) put in four points and a game-high matching six assists.

Reigning NE10 Player of the Week Shannon Ryan and Lipinski were guarding each other at times in the post. Ryan fought foul trouble in the second half and clinched the game with the floater from the foul line with 2.1 seconds left. She finished the game with 21 points and 11 rebounds but turned the ball over five times.

Peyton Steinman joined Lipinski in the 30 point club with 30 markers of her own with six assists and five rebounds.

Franklin Pierce scored 25 points off the 20 Saint Anselm turnovers and scored more on the break (11-0). They lead for the majority of the game (22:34) and late into the fourth quarter.

Lipinski and Ryan traded the first six points of the game until Lipinski converted an and1 going coast-to-coast off her first steal of the game for the bucket putting Pierce in the lead at 9-6. With the contest deadlocked 11-11, Steinman knocked down a step-back three-pointer move the Hawks back into the lead at 14-11.

The Ravens strung together eight consecutive points including a Brenda Boakye (Montreal, Quebec) mid-range jumper off a Lipinski offensive carom to open up a five-point, 19-14 lead into the second quarter. Steinman dumped in eight of the next 13 Hawk points to move ahead 27-21 at the 3:36 mark, the Hawks' biggest lead of the game. The Ravens crawled within two points at the intermission as they trailed 31-29 at the half.

Pierce started the second stanza on a 9-2 spurt capped off by a Lipinski driving layup to move ahead 38-33 four minutes into the third. Another Steinman step back three tied the margin at 38 all. The Ravens would then go on a 10-3 explosion as Lipinski was successful on another steal to fast-break lay-in to put the Ravens in their highest edge of the duel, 48-41. The margin stayed at seven into the fourth.

FPU shot 10-of-14 (71.4%) in the third quarter and out produced the Hawks 21-to-12.

The fourth was a different story as the Ravens were outscored 20-to-9. Gallant streaked down the court and netted a deuce after a long outlet pass off the long rebound by Hannah Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.) to keep it a seven-point game, 56-49 with 4:21 left. Gallant kissed the ball high off the window when the Raven advantage was shrunk to two keeping it a two-possession, 58-54 game.

One free throw at the line kept the home team in the driver's seat, 59-56 with 58 seconds to go. Ryan immediately went to work in the post burying a layup pulling her squad within one. The Ravens missed a jumper on the ensuing possession setting the stage for Ryan's game-winner. Pierce had a chance for a rebuttal, but they called a timeout when they had none on the advanced inbounds with 2.1 seconds left wrapped up the match for the Hawks.

The Ravens head out on the road for their final two games, the first on Saturday, February 22 against no. 4-regionally-ranked Bentley University (18-7, 13-4 NE10) with tip-off set for 1:30 p.m.
