CCA All-East Region selections (PDF)

RINDGE, N.H. (March 14, 2016) – Senior forward Kara Charette (Fairhaven, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team has been honored by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association in the organization's end-of-the-season awards, as announced on Monday. Charette was named to the All-East Region Second Team.

For Charette, who was named to the Northeast-10 All Conference First Team for the second straight time earlier this year, this is her second straight selection to the All-East Region Second Team.

Charette started in 24 games this season, and started 110 games of her 113 games played at Franklin Pierce. She earned the number three spot in all-time scoring the program's record books, scoring a total of 1,911 points and collecting 644 rebounds over her four years with the team. As a senior, she averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while chipping in 1.7 assists per game as well.

The Ravens finished the regular season at 14-12 (11-10 Northeast-10), which was good for fourth in the Northeast Division of the Northeast-10 Conference.
