RINDGE, N.H. (November 15, 2007) – Junior co-captain Nicole Buchholz (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s volleyball team has been named to the 2007 Daktronics All-Northeast Region second team, as selected by the region’s sports information directors.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 10, 2007) – Junior co-captains Nicole Buchholz (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) and Karissa Hookstadt (Camarillo, Calif./Camarillo) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s volleyball team were named 2007 Northeast-10 All-Conference selections, the conference announced on Saturday morning. Buchholz was named to the All-Conference second team for the second consecutive year, while Hookstadt earned a spot on the third team for the second year in a row.

WALTHAM, Mass. (November 9, 2007) – The fourth-seeded Franklin Pierce University women’s volleyball team, ranked eighth in this week’s NCAA Div. II Northeast Regional poll, fell to fifth-seeded Pace University by a score of 3-0 (30-19, 30-25, 20-27) in the quarterfinals of the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference Tournament, held on Friday night at the Dana Center on the campus of Bentley College.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 30, 2007) – Junior co-captain Nicole Buchholz (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) led all players with 16 kills as Franklin Pierce University, ranked eighth in the latest NCAA Div. II Northeast Regional poll, rolled past American International College by a score of 3-0 (30-18, 30-23, 30-15) in a Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball match on the first “Dig for the Cure” night Tuesday at the Franklin Pierce Fieldhouse. The match marked the conclusion of the regular season for the Ravens.

WATERBURY, Conn. (October 27, 2007) – Franklin Pierce University, ranked eighth in this week’s NCAA Div. II Northeast Regional poll, split a pair of non-conference women’s volleyball matches on Saturday at a tri-match on the campus of Post University. The Ravens began the day by losing a tough five-game match to Philadelphia University, 3-2 (21-30, 30-20, 28-30, 30-19, 15-12), but the Ravens rebounded to take a 3-0 (30-27, 30-15, 30-21) win from host Post University in the night cap to earn the split.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 24, 2007) – Junior co-captain Nicole Buchholz (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s volleyball team was named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic first team by the conference’s 15 Sports Information Directors, the conference announced on Wednesday. To be eligible for selection, players must have participated in at least half of the team’s matches as a starter or significant contributor, achieved a 3.20 grade point average or higher (on a 4.0 scale), and completed at least one academic year at their current institution.

(October 23, 2007) – Franklin Pierce University suffered a 3-0 (30-21, 30-28, 30-27) defeat to conference frontrunner Bryant University in a Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball match on Tuesday evening at the Chace Center. The Ravens fall to 9-4 in conference play with the loss, while Bryant improves its unblemished conference mark to 11-0.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (October 19, 2007) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s volleyball team split two matches in an evening doubleheader on the campus of Bryant University on Friday night. In their first match of the night, the Ravens were defeated by Dowling College, the top-ranked team in the Northeast in the first 2007 NCAA Div. II Regional Poll, by a score of 3-0 (30-26, 30-28, 30-13), but the 10th-ranked Ravens came back strong to take down sixth-ranked Georgian Court University in five hard-fought games, 3-2 (25-30, 32-30, 30-25, 25-30, 15-9).

(October 14, 2007) - The Franklin Pierce University volleyball team and head coach Sharon Bonaventure, along with members of the men's soccer team, participated in the 15th Anniversary of Boston's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 14, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The trek began and ended at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade and circled the Charles River.
