Cross Country Programs Boast Four All-NE10 Honorees

Northeast-10 cross country All-Conference awards

MANSFIELD, Mass. (November 7, 2019) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s cross country combined to boast four All-Northeast-10 Conference selections, as officially recognized on Thursday afternoon by the league office. For the men, junior Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) landed on the First Team, while sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) and senior Jason Reed (Foxborough, Mass.) placed on the Second Team. For the women, junior Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) landed on the Third Team.

In the sport of cross country, All-NE10 selections are decided objectively, based on the finish of athletes at the NE10 Championship. The top seven finishers are selected to the First Team, finishers 7-14 are named to the Second Team and those who place 15-21 are placed on the Third Team. The league’s major awards are voted on by the Conference’s head coaches.

In addition to the All-NE10 selections, the Ravens took home both the men’s and women’s Elite 24 Awards. The Elite 24 Awards are given to the competing student-athlete with the highest GPA at each of the NE10’s 24 championships. Fenoff picked up the accolade for the men, while sophomore Alena Masterson (Pelham, N.H.) claimed the award for the women. Both Fenoff and Masterson boast perfect, 4.0 GPAs.

Arlabosse notched a fourth-place finish at the NE10 Championship, with an 8k time of 27:25.7 to land on the All-NE10 First Team. It is his second career All-NE10 selection, and his first time on the First Team.

Fenoff and Reed both placed on the All-NE10 Second Team, after 13th- and 14th-place finishes, respectively. Fenoff turned in a time of 27:45.2, while Reed clocked in at 27:47.6. It is the second straight All-NE10 selection for Fenoff, who was also on the Second Team a year ago, while Reed earns his first career All-NE10 selection.

Farago narrowly missed out on Second Team honors of her own, as she finished 15th in the women’s race to claim the first spot on the All-NE10 Third Team. She put together a 6k time of 25:04.7 to notch her first career All-NE10 accolade.

The Ravens are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 9, when they travel to Philadelphia for the NCAA Championship East Regional.
