Men’s Cross Country Fourth at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 21, 2019) -- Sophomore Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) was the first member of the Franklin Pierce University men's cross country team to cross the line on Saturday, as the Ravens competed at the UMass Dartmouth invitational. Arlabosse had a top-five finish, as he took fourth overall in the 257-person running field. He had a time of 25:10 for the five-mile race. Just outside of the top five was sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.), who took sixth and finished with a time of 25:27.

Shortly behind Fenoff was graduate student William Rawson (Atherton, England), who took a 21st place in his Franklin Pierce debut, with a time of 25:59. Senior Jason Reed (Foxborough, Mass.) was close behind with a time of 26:28 and a finish in 39th, followed by freshman Zach Aham (Nottingham, N.H.). Aham had a 47th-place finish with a time of 26:46 to round out Franklin Pierce's scoring five, and also round out the group of Ravens who placed in the top 50.

Making it within the top 100 was junior Ryan Ducrow (Amesbury, Mass.), who finished 98th with a time of 28:08 followed by sophomore William Aylward (Peabody, Mass.), who placed 145th and had a time of 29:04.

The Meet was won by WPI with 61 points, followed by UMass Lowell with 83 points and Trinity with 88. The Ravens took fourth place with 115 points, which left them comfortably inside the top five, but well outside the meet's top finishers. Southern Maine took 146 points to place fifth in the 36-team field.

The Ravens will be back into action on Saturday, Sept. 28, when they host the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H.
