BOSTON (February 21, 2010) -- Junior Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) claimed the sixth Northeast-10 Conference title of his career on Friday afternoon, as he won the indoor 800 meters for the second straight season to lead the way for the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team on the second day of the NE10 Championships, held at Reggie Lewis Center. When all was said and done, the Ravens took sixth, out of 10 teams, at the meet.

For Arlabosse, it was a 1:52.93 run to take home 800-meter title. It was the third 800-meter NE10 crown of his career, as he also won the event during the 2018 outdoor season and last year's indoor season. Arlabosse also has also been a part of two relay teams which claimed NE10 crowns.

The event win was good for 10 points for the Ravens, who chalked up 34 points on Friday. Combined with 15 points from Thursday, it meant a 49-point meet and a sixth-place finish. Southern Connecticut State (242.5 points) took home the team title, followed by American International in second (132 points) and Assumption in third (84 points).

Additionally, there were many Ravens who earned points for the team on Friday. In the shot put, sophomore Croix Albee (Trenton, Maine) took fifth after a 13.98-meter throw to tally four points. He was accompanied by fellow sophomore Armani Mette (Randolph, Mass.), who took seventh and earned two points for his 13.69-meter throw. Freshman Connor Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.) also competed in the event and took ninth after a 13.44-meter throw. In the mile, sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) claimed fifth and four points for his 4:18 time. In the 400-meter dash finals, senior Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.) took fifth and garnered four more points for his 49.53-second finish. Another four points came in the 60-meter hurdles, where freshman Sekou Veillard (Davie, Fla.) took fifth for his 8.8-second time. Graduate student William Rawson (Atherton, England) posted a 3k race time of 8:45, which allowed him to take eighth place and earn a point. Finally, a fourth-place finish for the 4x800 team earned five points as a result of their 8:00 time. The team consisted of Fenoff, Arlabosse, junior Antonio Rua (Burrillville, R.I.), and senior Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.).

Several other Ravens were in action as well on Friday, but did not score. Junior Eriq Joyce (Pepperell, Mass.) took 14th in the shot put for his 12.35-meter throw. He was followed by freshman Jack Galvin (Braintree, Mass.), who took 20th in the event after throwing 11.64 meters. Senior Walker John (Boscawen, N.H.) ran a time of 4:34 in the mile, taking 11th in the event, behind Fenoff. In 13th place, senior Ahmed Rabbani (Peabody, Mass.) ran a time of 4:37, and freshman Zach Aham (Nottingham, N.H.) took 15th for his 4:39 finish. For senior Jason Reed (Foxborough, Mass.), a 9:05 race led to an 18th-place finish in the 3000 meters. He was followed by junior Ryan Ducrow (Amesbury, Mass.) in 21st for his 9:10 time. Sophomore Aaron Young (Colchester, Conn.) finished 10th in the heptathlon, after amassing 4124 points across seven events. Elsewhere, the men's 4x400 team ran the event in 3:30 to finish ninth. The lineup consisted of Arlabosse, Guay, Veillard, and sophomore Ethan Pezzullo (Bristol, R.I.).

The Ravens are scheduled to send select athletes to New York, N.Y., for the Ocean Breeze Last Chance meet on Saturday, Feb. 29.
