Reddy Sets School Record for Men’s Track & Field at First Day of NEICAAA Championships

HANOVER, N.H. (May 11, 2018) – Sophomore Jeff Reddy (Chester, N.H.) set a new school record on Friday on the way to All-New England honors in the 10,000 meters, as he was one of three competitors to represent the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team on the first day of the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Dartmouth College.

Reddy finished sixth in the 10,000 meters to earn All-New England honors and pick up three points for the Ravens. He did so with a time of 31:02.59, which represented a new school record.

Elsewhere, sophomore Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.) assured he will earn All-New England accolades on Saturday, as he qualified for the final of the 400-meter hurdles. Guay turned in a time of 54.45 seconds to place second in the second of four preliminary heats and qualify in sixth position.

The remaining Raven in action on Saturday also competed in the 400-meter hurdles. Freshman Colin Stoddard (Charlton, Mass.) finished 18th, with a time of 56.79 seconds.

The NEICAAA Championships wrap up on Saturday at Dartmouth.
