
Seven Ravens Earn NE10 All-Conference Honors
MANSFIELD, Mass. (11/12/24) - The Northeast-10 Conference has unveiled its 2024 men's soccer postseason honors, and the Franklin Pierce men's soccer team shone brightly, placing seven standout players across the All-NE10 teams. Leading the pack, Tiago Barriguinha (Alverca, Portugal) secured a coveted spot on the All-NE10 First Team, while Antonio Lima (Lisbon, Portugal), Guillermo Avendaño (Lucano, Spain), Joaquin Lauria (Salta, Argentina), and Jesse Oostendorp (Doetinchem, Netherlands) were honored with Second Team selections. Rounding out the list, Andy Chisholm (Little Compton, R.I.) and Joao Araujo (Madeira, Portugal) both earned Third Team nods, with Oostendorp also being named to the All-Rookie Team.
Barriguinha, a sophomore midfielder, has been crucial to the Ravens' success over the past two seasons. Playing in all 17 games this year, he has registered 13 points through three goals and seven assists.
Lima, a Portuguese offensive powerhouse, has continued to fuel the Ravens' attack, racking up 19 points on seven goals and five assists to earn his Second Team recognition.
Avendaño has proven to be a relentless offensive threat, tallying seven goals and making key plays that have kept the Ravens competitive throughout the season.
Lauria, a stalwart center-back, earned his Second-Team selection for anchoring the Ravens' defense while contributing offensively with one goal and one assist across 15 games.
Oostendorp, the freshman from the Netherlands, has been an immediate impact player for Franklin Pierce, scoring twice and adding an assist. His presence on both the All-NE10 Second Team and All-Rookie Team showcases his talent and potential.
Forward Andy Chisholm's third-team recognition is well-earned, as his five goals and three assists have consistently fueled the Ravens' offense this season.
Graduate student Joao Araujo rounds out the Third Team honorees. A dependable presence in every game, Araujo has added nine points through two goals and five assists.
The Ravens will face the Chargers of University of New Haven for the NE10 Semifinals game. The match is set for 7 PM in New Haven.
