FLUSHING, N.Y. (November 21, 2019) – No. 18 nationally-ranked Franklin Pierce University men's soccer junior defender Carlos Ferrando Felis (Tavernes de la Valldigna, Spain) and senior midfielder Niklas Laudahn (Olfen, Germany) have been selected as 2019 NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-East Region honorees yesterday following a vote by the East Region athletic communications professionals.

Felis, a First Team selection, will advance to the national ballot as potential All-American honoree. Laudahn was the lone Raven member of the All-East Region Second Team. Felis and Laudahn mark the first time since 2012 (Daniel Donaldson) that the men's soccer program has had an All-Region player.

Felis became the fifth NE10 Defensive Player of the Year in program history and only the third individual to achieve the feat. He started and played in all 18 games for the Ravens and has been a staple on the backline helping lead Pierce to the 10th lowest goals-against average in all NCAA Division II (0.65). On the season, he has scored three goals on offense, including the game-winner in a 1-0 shutout of American International College.

Laudahn, an NE10 First Team member collects his first All-Region nod. The team captain has played in 16 games for the crimson and grey this year scoring one goal and racking up a new personal-high in assists (5) while tying his single-season career-best in points.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.

The Ravens (13-3-2) put their undefeated home record (9-0-1) on the line Saturday when they welcome no. 8 nationally-ranked Wilmington (Del.) University (17-21) to Sodexo Field for the NCAA Championship Super Region 1 – Second Round with kick-off slated for 6:00 p.m. Stay tuned for a game preview tomorrow and you can view our championship page by clicking here.
