RINDGE, N.H. (October 6, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University men's soccer junior midfielder Noam Kolakofsky (Achziv, Israel) scored both goals as the Ravens recorded their third straight victory and second consecutive shutout by defeating Bentley University 2-0 Saturday evening on Sodexo Field. With the win, the Ravens improve to 4-7-0, 3-4-0 NE10 while the Falcons fall to 4-4-2, 2-4-1 NE10.

As a team, the Ravens outshot the Falcons 19-to-5 in the match and had one more corner kick than their counterparts.

Kolakofsky netted his first score in the 63rd minute when teammate Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany) played give and go five yards away from the cage. Felber's touch pass found Kolakofsky's foot and then the right side of the net to push the Ravens ahead 1-0 late.

He then added an insurance goal with two seconds to go via a long through ball from sophomore midfielder Kidino Jones (Randolph, Mass.) Kolakofsky streaked down the left side, threw a move on Bentley keeper David Price then chipped the ball into the open cage to ice the game.

Bentley had the first real scoring chance late in the 10th minute. Sophomore defender Courtland Pavek lofted the first corner kick of the game into the box. Junior midfielder Matthew Tidona got his head on the ball and headed it cleanly to the open cage, but the attempt was wide of the mark.

In the 27th minute following a Falcon foul, Kolakofsky bent a free kick attempt over the wall and almost into the cage until Price sprawled out and stifled the scoring chance.

Three minutes later, the Ravens had a corner kick and three shot attempts that were either blocked or high over the net as the showdown was deadlocked 0-0 at the intermission.

Raven netminder Jadel Poon-Lewis (Diego Martin, Trinidad, and Tobago) recorded the third shutout of his junior year in the win stopping two shots. Price made six saves in the defeat.
