Men’s Soccer Coach Ian Clerihew Resigns

Ravens to search for program's 11th head coach

RINDGE, N.H. (November 12, 2014) – Franklin Pierce University Director of Athletics Bruce Kirsh has announced the resignation of men's soccer head coach Ian Clerihew, effective immediately.

Clerihew recently concluded his third season at the helm of the men's soccer program and posted a 28-21-5 record in Rindge, which runs his career record to 63-40-11 over six seasons. Clerihew's Franklin Pierce squads qualified for the Northeast-10 Championship in each of his three seasons, including semifinal appearances in 2012 and 2013. His 2012 team also made an appearance in the first round of the NCAA Championship.

"I appreciate Ian's efforts in guiding our men's soccer program over the last three seasons and wish him luck in his future endeavors," Kirsh said. "We will immediately turn our attention toward identifying the ideal candidate to lead the program through the offseason recruiting cycle and to guide our student-athletes into next season and beyond."

A national search for the team's next head coach, the 11th in program annals, will begin immediately.
