Graduate student has six-point week

RINDGE, N.H. (October 6, 2014) – Graduate student midfielder Quincy Appah (Accra, Ghana) of the Franklin Pierce University men's soccer team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Select Sport Player of the Week for the week ending on Oct. 5, as announced Tuesday by the Conference office.

Appah piled up six points on two goals and two assists in a 2-0-0 week for the Ravens. His keynote address for the week came on Tuesday night against Bentley, when he scored twice, including the game-winner, and added an assist in Franklin Pierce's 4-1 win over Bentley. Appah followed up on Saturday with a goal in the Ravens' 2-0 shutout of Le Moyne.

On the season, Appah has started all nine games for the crimson and grey and sits second on the team in scoring. He has scored three times, including two game-winning goals, and has added four assists to total 10 points. Appah has attempted 21 shots, including 11 on goal.

The Ravens return to the field on Wednesday, Oct. 8, when they travel to Stonehill for a Northeast-10 Conference contest. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at W.B. Mason Stadium in Easton, Mass. Franklin Pierce next plays at home on Tuesday, Oct. 14 against Saint Anselm at 7 p.m.
