UPDATE: Dorr, Fortier Named to NEILA All-New England Second Team, All-Academic Squad

RINDGE N.H. (June 8, 2021) – Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse senior midfielder Josh Dorr (Brunswick, Maine) and senior defender Kyle Fortier (Derry, N.H.) were chosen to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Division II All-New England Second Team and the All-Academic Team it was announced by the organization.

Players are nominated by their coaches for NEILA honors and the teams are voted by coaches within their respective divisions. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players. For All-Academic, members of the teams are nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II and II, and are comprised of student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career.

Dorr, a Northeast-10 Conference Third Team player started and played in all 12 games for the Ravens. He was the team's leading scorer and is tied for 16th in the league in points with 32 off of 23 goals and nine assists. He is tied for 12th in the league with 23 scores and the nine helpers rank 23rd. On the defensive side, Dorr scooped up 10 groundballs and caused five turnovers. In the classroom, the sports management major had a 3.61 GPA

Also an NE10 Third Team athlete, Fortier started all 12 games for Pierce on defense. He caused 16 turnovers, the second-highest total on the squad and it ranks him ninth in the conference. He gobbled up 29 groundballs good enough for third on the team. In the classroom, the finance major compiled a 3.51 GPA. 

The Ravens finished their 2021 season with a 5-7, 4-6 NE10 record.
