RINDGE, N.H. (February 14, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse team has been selected fifth in the 2017 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Division II Preseason Poll it was announced Monday.

The NEILA polls are voted on by a committee of coaches within their respective divisions.

Northeast-10 Conference schools rounded out the top-five spots. Merrimack was selected first and earned six first place votes. Saint Anselm is picked to place second while Bentley and Southern New Hampshire were tied for third.

Last season, the Ravens finished the year at 5-8 overall and 4-7 in league play and are returning 2016 All-NE10 Second Team selection Brad Chapdelaine (Goffstown, N.H.), 2016 All-Rookie Team member Jake Castorf (Holbrook, N.Y.) and 2017 NEILA Division II Preseason First Team pick Sean Delea (Hampstead, N.H.).

The Crimson and Grey open up their campaign on Saturday, March 4th when they travel to Post for a non-conference contest at 1:00 p.m.
