Ravens Men's Lacrosse RINDGE, N.H. (April 27, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse team will open postseason play for the first time ever on Tuesday afternoon, when the Ravens play host to Assumption at 4 p.m. at Sodexo Field, in the quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.

Tickets for the game are $6 for adults, $4 for children and seniors, and $1 for college students with a valid ID from a Northeast-10 member institution. The first 150 Franklin Pierce students that present their University ID at the ticket booth will have the cost of their ticket covered, courtesy of the Department of Athletics.

The Ravens are the fourth seed in the Northeast-10, while Assumption comes in as the fifth seed. The teams are meeting for the second time this year, with Franklin Pierce earning a 9-6 victory on March 21, when the two met at Multi-Sport Stadium in Worcester, Mass. Junior attack Casey Burnett (Windham, N.H.) tallied five points on four goals and one assist to lead the way for Franklin Pierce, while freshman attack Jack Carney (Dunbarton, N.H.) added a pair of goals. Senior attack Paul Curran scored twice in defeat for Assumption.

Franklin Pierce concluded the regular season with an 11-3 overall record and an 8-3 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference, setting new program high-water marks on each front. Assumption finished with a 9-7 regular-season record and a 6-5 mark in league play.

Tuesday will mark the first-ever Northeast-10 Championship appearance for Franklin Pierce, which means the game will be the first postseason meeting between the two squads. Assumption last advanced beyond the regular season in 2011, when it dropped a 15-8 decision on the road against Saint Michael's in the quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Championship.

The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal will advance to the semifinal round and travel to meet top seed Le Moyne at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 1 at Ted Grant Field in Syracuse, N.Y.
