MANSFIELD, Mass. (November 26, 2019) – Sophomore defenseman Stephen Jacobs (Hingham, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, as announced on Monday afternoon by the NE10. It marked the first weekly NE10 award of the season for the Ravens.

Jacobs put together four points (2-2-4) over two games in a 2-0-0 week for the Ravens. On Tuesday night at Westfield State, he tacked on an empty-net goal to salt things away in a 4-2 road win over the Owls. Back home on Friday afternoon, Jacobs piled up a goal and two assists, including a helper on the game-winning goal, in an 8-4 romp over visiting Saint Michael’s.

On the season, Jacobs has played in all seven games for the Ravens and sits fourth on the team in scoring, with six points on three goals and three assists. He has one power-play goal and one game-tying goal along the way.

The Ravens are back on the ice later on Tuesday, as they travel to Framingham State for a non-conference contest. Opening faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Loring Arena in Framingham, Mass.
