Wilson Ice Arena. Junior forward Nate Schursky (Scottsdale, Ariz.) scored the lone goal of the game for Franklin Pierce, while junior goaltender Ben Siok (Holden, Mass.) made a career-high 48 saves.

After much of the first period went scoreless, SUNY Geneseo found the net twice in a span of 22 seconds to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. Vit opened the scoring at the 18:30 mark with his team-leading eighth goal of the season with assists from junior forward Jonathan Redlick and freshman forward Rich Manley. The line would strike again almost immediately, as Manley followed with his fifth of the year, assisted by Redlick and Vit, at 18:52.

After the second period went without a goal, the Knights tacked on an insurance goal early in the third period to push the lead to 3-0. It was Manley who found the net for the second time in the game, while Redlick and Vit each picked up their second assist of the night at 3:24. Junior defenseman Danny Scagnelli and Vit would both score later in the frame to push the lead as high as 5-0 for SUNY Geneseo.

Franklin Pierce got on the scoreboard and broke up the shutout with just 44 seconds to play in the third period. Schursky found the back of the net for an unassisted tally, his third goal of the season.

Junior goaltender Ben Siok (Holden, Mass.) made a career-best 48 saves, but was saddled with the loss (0-5-0) in net for Franklin Pierce. His previous career high had been 47, made in a 3-3 tie at Johnson & Wales on Dec. 10, 2008. It was the seventh 40-save effort of Siok's career and his third of the season.

Senior Michael Battaglia stopped 17 shots to pick up the win (1-0-0) between the pipes for SUNY Geneseo.
