Men’s Golf Sends Five Individuals to Post Eagles Invitational

WATERTOWN, Conn. (October 15, 2019) – Following a rally to second place at the Saint Rose Fall Invitational this past weekend, the Franklin Pierce University men's golf program sent five players to compete as individuals at the Post Eagles Invitational hosted by Post University Monday and Tuesday.

The Ravens competed at the Watertown Golf Club, a par 71, 6,638-yard course. Freshman Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) had the lowest score for the crimson and grey as he shot a two-round 153 (+11), a 76 (+5) day one and a 77 (+6) second-round proving himself as the most consistent Raven golfer. He also racked up a team-high 23 pars, the fourth-highest total in the field.

Senior Anthony Vincequere (Millbury, Mass.) was the Ravens most improved golfer dropping five strokes from his first-round 81 (+10) to complete his second run through the course at 76 (+5) for a 157 (+15). Sophomore Conner MacDonald (Kennebunkport, Maine) completed the first round tied for eighth overall (73, +2), but slipped down the leaderboard after producing an 85 (+14) for a two-day 158 (+16).

Freshman Jack Hogan (Westfield, Mass.) turned in a solid 83 (+12) both days for a 166 (+24) while classmate Jake Bennett (Madison, Conn.) tallied a 168 (+28).

The Ravens hit the road Friday for their final tournament of the fall schedule, the Le Moyne Fall Shootout at the Lake Shore Yacht Club in Cicero, N.Y.
