Men’s Golf in Fourth Place, Set for Second Round Tomorrow in New York

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (October 11, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf program wrapped up the opening round of the Saint Rose Fall Shootout on Friday in fourth place.

The Ravens totaled a 306 (+22) opening round which was good enough for fourth place. They trail co-leaders Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Northeast-10 Conference opponent Le Moyne College by eight strokes and third-place program Assumption College by seven.

Senior Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.) paced Pierce as he deadlocked into eighth place with two other golfers. Foster shot a team-low 74 (+3) first round. Classmate Nate Patterson (Conway, Mass.) also stood within the top-20 tying for 17th after his opening round 76 (+5) card.

Senior Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) putted home a 77 (+6) while sophomore Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) and senior Liam Donohue (Vernon, Conn.) contributed 79 (+8) scores.
