Men’s Golf Finishes Opening Round of the FPU Fall Invitational in Second Place

KEENE, N.H. (September 8, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University men's golf team finds itself in the same position as last year after Saturday's play, as it finished the opening round of the annual FPU Fall Invitational in second place. The tournament is being contested at the par-72, 6520-yard Keene Country Club.

Led by senior Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.), the Ravens finished Sunday +13 with a total of 301 strokes. Franklin Pierce sits only six strokes behind the leaders, Southern New Hampshire University, a fellow Northeast-10 Conference member.

Foster is tied with two others in second place, with an even score card. Travis Fay of St. Thomas Aquinas leads the pack after firing a three-under 69.

Fellow seniors Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) and Nate Patterson (Conway, Mass.) are not far behind Foster at +3 (75).

The Ravens will be back in action at the Keene Country Club tomorrow for the second and final round of the tournament.
