Yamamoto, Hartley Highlight Franklin Pierce Golf All-Conference Selections

RINDGE, N.H. (June 20, 2019) Franklin Pierce University women's golfers Zoe Yamamoto (Battle Ground, Wash.) and Taylor Hartley (Battle Ground, Wash.) headlined eight selections to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference Teams the league office announced last week. Yamamoto and Hartley were named to the NE10 Women's Golf First Team.

Joining their teammates as All-League athletes were outgoing senior Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) and freshman Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.). On the men's side, sophomore Dylan Plis (Camillus, N.Y.) was the lone Raven on the men's Second Team while, juniors Keeton Foster (Spofford, N.H.), Sam Myers (Colchester, Vt.) and Nathan Patterson (Conway, Mass.) earned Third Team bids.

Yamamoto collects her third straight First Team nod and was an All-Championship Team member after firing a 152 (+10) at the NE10 Championship, good enough for second place individually. She participated in every invitational for Pierce collecting a medal honors in her spring finale at the Franklin Pierce Spring Invitational (77, +6). The rising senior had six top-five finishes including four-second place showings. Her lowest score of the year, 149, (+7) came at the Granite State Invitational as well as her low round (72, +1).

Hartley competed in eight of the nine tournaments. She tallied six top-10 finishes including four in the top-five. Her highest finish was during the NE10 Championship when she placed third in the field of golfers at 154 (+12) putting her way to the All-Championship Team as the Crimson and Grey placed second as a team. Also in the fall, Hartley's lowest round of the campaign, 75 (+3) came in a tie for fifth place at the Le Moyne Fall Invitational.

Daley lands on the Second Team for the third consecutive campaign. The recent graduate also was a one-time NE10 Women's Golfer of the Week pacing the Ravens to their second team tournament title of the year at the Assumption College Invitational. The team captain took home her first individual medal of the season producing a 155 (+11) two rounds including a season-low 75 (+3) second round. A week later at the Franklin Pierce Spring Invitational, Daley deadlocked for fourth at 78 (+7).

For the men, Plis nabs a Second Team spot after being a First Team player and the NE10 Rookie of the Year last season. A two-time NE10 Men's Golfer of the Week and a Ping Division II All-Region athlete, the sophomore had five top-10 finishes including two individual medalist honors at the 84th Annual NEIGA Championship (147, +3) and versus Saint Michael's in stroke play (69, -3). The 68 (-4) second round total at the NEIGA Championship was a new personal career-low for Plis and helped him to his second straight All-New England nod. He finished third at the FPU Fall Invitational (145 (+1) pacing his team to a team championship as well. At the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regionals, Plis tied for sixth overall totaling a three round 222 (+6).

Foster collects All-Conference honors for the third straight season. He tallied three top-10 finishes including a share of fourth place at the Penmen Fall Invitational (153, +9). Foster added two 11th place performances while also tying for 15th twice as well. The junior's best round of the season came during the second round of the Penmen Fall Invitational when he fired a 70 (E).

Myers earns his first All-League honor in his collegiate career. He collected an individual championship in his final tournament of the regular season at the Penmen Spring Invitational shooting two under par (70, -2). The junior biology major was also runner up at the Assumption College Invitational (148, +4) and he capped off his top-five finishes with a fourth-place showing at the FPU Fall Invitational (147, -3). Myers saved his best round of the season for last as his 70 (-2) round at the Penmen Spring Invitational was his lowest of the campaign.

Patterson, a junior transfer student by the way of Rhode Island College and a one-time NE10 Golfer of the Week completes the four men's team All-Conference choices. He had three top-10 finishes on the year carrying the Ravens to first place at the Assumption College Invitational and earned medalist honors producing a two-round 144 (E) scorecard. His best round of the year came at Assumption totaling a 70 (-2). Patterson kicked off his Raven career in stroke play at Saint Michael's firing a 73 (+1) good enough for a share of second place. He tied for sixth place in the final tune-up before regionals at the Penmen Spring Invitational (71, -1).
