RINDGE, N.H. (April 26, 2019) – For the third straight year and the for the fourth time in program history, the Franklin Pierce University men's golf program has earned a bid to the 2019 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional this time as the no. 1 team in the East Region the NCAA announced Friday evening.

The Crimson and Grey came in at second in the region during the initial rankings and climbed to the top spot after a strong spring slate. Pierce finished no lower than fifth during their regular season capturing four team tournament titles, a runner up and third place finish as well. The regionals will be hosted by the California University of Pennsylvania at the Totteridge Golf Club in Greensburg, Pa. on May 9th to May 11th. The top three teams in the Atlantic/East Region will qualify for the Division II National Championship.

"I'm really proud of our guys," said head coach Tyler Bishop. "They have worked hard all year long and it's great to see their efforts paying off. Our team strives to play good, consistent golf each and every week and we knew if we did that we would be in a good position at the end of the year. We are excited to go back to regionals and have a chance to get back to nationals."

Three other Northeast-10 Conference programs will join Franklin Pierce in Pennsylvania. No. 2 seeded and conference champions Southern New Hampshire University, no. 3 seeded Bentley University, and no. 6 seeded Assumption College. Four NE10 individual golfers will also compete for a chance to take their game to nationals.

Last season the Ravens were ranked eighth in the east and qualified for the first NCAA Championship in program annals after placing second out of the 20 programs firing an 890 (+26) three-round total.
