Franklin Pierce Places 12th at WNEC Invitational
Rossi cards 83 to lead Ravens
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 19, 2007) - The Franklin Pierce men's golf team placed 12th at the Western New England College Invitational on the par-72 Veterans Golf Course today.
Franklin Pierce posted a 364 team score, while host WNEC took the team title with a 301 - one shot better than second-place Salem State College. Mike Roy of WNEC earned medalist honors as he fired a one-under-par round of 71. Babson's Travis Dewire finished one shot off the pace with an even-par 72.
Junior Kevin Rossi (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) led Franklin Pierce as he carded a round of 83 to place 37th overall.
Franklin Pierce returns to the links on Sunday and Monday at the River Hawks Invitational, hosted by the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
