Franklin Pierce Seventh at Blazers Invitational

Kreps leads Ravens in final spring event with 11th-place finish

CHICOPEE, Mass. (May 3, 2006) - The Franklin Pierce men's golf team closed out its 2005-06 season with a seventh-place finish at the Blazers Invitational, hosted by Elms College, at the par-71 Chicopee Country Club over the weekend.

Franklin Pierce posted a 335 team score for a seventh-place finish among 12 competing teams. Husson College won the team title with a score of 304. The Ravens finished just 14 strokes out of second place. Husson's Lance Bibby won a three-way playoff to take individual medallist honors. He carded a one-over-par 72, along with teammate Ross McGee and Neil Daigneault of Elms.

Freshman Jason Kreps (Culver, Ind./Culver Military Academy) led Franklin Pierce with a round of 80 to finish in a four-way tie for 11th overall. Sophomore Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) carded an 82 for a 20th-place finish, while freshman Josh Lupinek (East Haddam, Conn./Nathan Hale-Ray) registered an 86 (34th).
