Sean Bresnan (Yonkers, N.Y.) started the scoring for Pierce when he buried a left-wing three-ball and Jackson answered with a three of his own to tie the score. Another long-range connection by Felician put them in front 6-3, which led to a quick 30-second timeout by coach Chadbourne. After the stoppage, Fadojutimi converted a fast break one-handed layup off the window following a defensive board to bring with Ravens with one. A right corner three from Felician widened the gap to 9-5. Piece jumped back ahead 10-9 on the strength of five in a row including a Fasoyiro three-pointer. A 9-1 Felician run pushed them in front 18-11 after a Rachid Shimou mid-range jumper. Pierce immediately went on a 9-0 binge of their own to regain the one score lead 20-18 as Felician stopped play with a timeout.

Following the timeout, freshman forward Antonio Chandler (Piscataway, N.J.) and Fadojutimi knocked home treys to expand the Ravens lead 26-20. FPU continued to tack on points, part of their 23-5 run when Fadojutimi drained another three, this time from NBA range on the right-wing and sophomore guard Isaiah Moore (Temple Hills, Md.) buried the seventh triple of the half to move the margin to 34-23. FPU's edge grew to a high of 17 at the end of the first half, 46-29.

Felician started the second half outscoring the Ravens 9-3 to drop their deficit to 11, 49-38 off a Jeff Lewis coast to coast lay-in. The Ravens attempted to stop the momentum with a timeout and pushed their advantage back to 13, 58-45 when Fadojutimi drained back-to-back threes from the top of the point. Felician answered with seven in a row to bring it to a two-possession game, however, Fadojutimi knocked down another three to stop the scoring run.

Both teams traded three-pointers, Jackson hit a three from the corner while being fouled, but he missed the freebie then Jackson connected on another three-pointer to make it a three-point game, 61-58. Seck countered with a layup until Jackson put his team down two, 63-61 swishing a trey. Felician took a 30-second timeout and Seck sank a huge long-range attempt to regain the five-point, 66-61 edge. With 4:11 to go, Fadojutimi hit on his sixth three of the game to put Pierce on the brink of victory, 70-63. A Fasoyiro layup to moved Pierce ahead by 11 and iced the win.
