RINDGE, N.H. (January 12, 2019) – Franklin Pierce University men's basketball junior guard Falu Seck (Washington, D.C.) exploded for a game-high 22 points with 16 coming in the second half as he spearheaded a 19-3 game-clinching run to give the Ravens a 75-56 victory against Northeast-10 Conference foe Le Moyne College Saturday afternoon at The Fieldhouse. With the win, the Ravens move to 7-8, 3-5 NE10 while the Dolphins drop to 7-6, 4-4 NE10.

Seck played a team-best 24 minutes off the bench. He drained 9-of-12 (75%) of his field goal attempts while knocking down 4-of-6 (66.7%) of his long-range attempts. He also snagged three boards, handed out three assists and came up with one steal.

Starting guard Doyin Fadojutimi (Temple Hills, Md.) cracked 20 points pouring in 21 markers of his own on 8-of-15 (53.3%) shooting to go along with a team-high six rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and one steal. Freshman guard Isaiah Moore (Temple Hills, Md.) manufactured 11 points of his own and graduate forward Jeremy Arthur (Westbury, N.Y.) contributed eight points, four assists, two caroms, one block, and one theft.

Le Moyne guard Ryan Roland carried the load for the guests with 12 points, three rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

The Franklin Pierce defensive allowed a season-low 56 points in a game. FPU also forced their counterparts into 15 miscues and the hosts capitalized on those mistakes generating 21 points off their turnovers. The Ravens successfully shot the ball hitting on 51.7% (31-of-60) of their shot attempts including a 40.7% efficiency (11-of-27) from beyond the arc.

Tim Leavell began the scoring knocking home a deep trey from the top off the point off a Malik Garner feed. Garner extended the early edge to 5-0 going around a screen and banking home a baseline drive. Moore deposited the Ravens first points slashing through the left side and hanging in the air for two. The Dolphins moved ahead 8-2 when Roland connected on a left-wing three-ball. Five straight from the Ravens, a Seck layup on the left block and an Arthur top of the point trey made the score 8-7. On the next Raven trip down the court, Arthur was wide open in the left corner for another three-pointer tying the score 10-10. Pierce sophomore guard Sam van Oostrum (Sheffield, England) pushed the Ravens ahead for the first time 12-10 when sophomore guard Sean Fasoyiro (Houston, Texas) fed his cutting teammate for the uncontested flip in.

Fadojutimi knotted the score 17-17 burying a catch and shoot trifecta after collecting a nifty van Oostrum pass. Fadojutimi drained his second consecutive three-ball this time in the left corner to push Pierce in front 20-17. On the next trip down the court, graduate student Lolami Lola-Charles (Aberdeen, Md.) spun in the restricted area and found Seck for the close range lay-in upping the score to 22-17. Junior forward Jameson Pierrelus (Martin County, Fla.) came up with a steal off the press and he euro stepped his way to the rack while being fouled. He missed the freebie, but the Ravens jumped ahead by seven, 24-17. Fadojutimi continued the 12-0 Raven run picking off a pass and going the other way for the fast break conversion, increasing the advantage to 26-17.

Dolphin junior guard Wyatt Self stopped the Raven run burying a second chance trey on the left wing making it a two-possession 26-20 game with 2:47 left to play. Self bookended an 8-0 mini-run with another three-ball to pull his team within one point, 26-25. Fadojutimi split free throws and C.J. Asuncion-Byrd avoided an offensive foul to knot the game 27-27 giving the Ravens the final first-half possession. Fadojutimi had a look at the buzzer-beating three, but his attempt clanked off the front of the rim.

Seck regained the Raven edge 30-27 on the Pierce opening second stanza offensive possession when he banked home a trifecta from the right wing. Holding a one-point lead, Fadojutimi was fouled while converting a right-wing catch and shoot trey. He headed to the line to complete the rare four-point play to move the Crimson and Grey ahead 34-29. FPU out produced their counterparts 16-4 to start the half with a Moore second chance left corner three off a Lola-Charles offensive board to up the Pierce lead to eight, 39-31. The Ravens established the first double-digit lead, 41-31 of the game when Moore picked off a pass dished the rock to Seck and the duo played give-and-go with Moore dropping in the fast break attempt.

A Fasoyiro layup increased the Ravens lead to 13, 47-34. Le Moyne remained in the game notching six straight points to bring their deficit down to seven, 47-40 with 13:19 left in the battle. Raven freshman guard Brandon Kolek (Cumberland, R.I.) pushed his squad back ahead by 10 when van Oostrum dished off a driving pass just outside the restricted area to a wide-open Kolek in the left corner for three. Le Moyne continued to attack dropping the margin to five, 54-49 following a Necdet Gurkan three-ball that rolled around the rim and in coupled with a Roland floater.

Seck stole the ball from Asuncion-Byrd and slammed down a one-handed jam to make it a three-possession game at the 8:06 mark. Roland and Garner layups brought the Raven lead to three, 56-53. Seck took matters into his own hands drilling back-to-back three-pointers to increase the Raven lead to nine, 62-53 with 5:41 to go. Seck's three-pointers were the start of the 19-3 game-clinching run which ended with a Lola-Charles two-handed left post dunk.

The Ravens remain home for their next battle on Wednesday against conference foe Pace University at 7:30 p.m.
