RINDGE, N.H. (February 25, 2016) -- Junior guard Donte Gittens (Hartford, Conn.) of the Franklin Pierce University men's basketball team has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Third team, as announced on Thursday by the Conference office.

Gittens, a three-year starter for the Ravens, has started in all 26 games this year. He is averaging 14.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game, and has scored in double figures in 21 of the team's 26 games. His highest scoring output of the season is 24 points, which he has accomplished twice: on Feb. 6 against Stonehill and on Dec. 12 against Merrimack.

Gittens has five 20-point performances on the season and finished the regular in style on Tuesday night. In a 78-66 win over Assumption to clinch a postseason berth, Gittens poured in 22 points, snagged six rebounds and dished out three assists.

It is Gittens' first career All-Conference selection.

Gittens and the Ravens (15-11, 12-9 Northeast-10) open the postseason on Friday, Feb. 26, when they travel to Le Moyne for the first round of the Northeast-10 Championship. Opening tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Ted Grant Court in Syracuse, N.Y.
