Ryen Vilmont named to Northeast-10 Men’s Basketball All-Conference Second Team

RINDGE, N.H. (February 25, 2015) – Men’s Basketball senior forward Ryen Vilmont (Philadelphia, Pa.) has been named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

Vilmont wrapped up a fine senior season in 2014-15, as he will go down as one of the most decorated players in program history. He finishes a senior campaign playing in 28 games, averaging 20.3 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game. On the season, he shot an astounding 44 percent shooting percentage from three-point range.

Last season, he became 32nd 1,000 point scorer in program history, and this season passed Jeff Manchester to become the school’s all-time leader in career three-pointers made. He will finish fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,742 points, and 10th all-time in rebounds with 679. Appearing in 120 games for the crimson and grey, Vilmont posted 14.7 points per game, and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Vilmont also played a critical role during the Ravens East Regional championship and run to the Elite Eight during the 2012-13 season, where they finished a program-best 24-9.

VIlmont has been no stranger to conference honors, as he has now been named to an all-conference honor three of his four years. He appeared on the All-Rookie Team his freshman season, and was also selected to the All-Conference Second Team last season. Although not receiving a conference award during his sophomore season, Vilmont was named to the East Region All-Tournament Team.
