Cooper scores 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting

RINDGE, N.H. (March 31, 2014) – Franklin Pierce University men's basketball senior forward Ellis Cooper (Northampton, Mass.) shined once again in his final game in an FPU uniform during Friday's Reese's Division II College All-Star Game in Evansville, Ind.

He scored 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor, while also totaling three rebounds and two steals in 16 minutes of action.

Cooper played for the East All-Stars, who fell to the West All-Stars, 121-109, at the Ford Center, which was serving as the host facility for the 2014 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Elite Eight. The contest was held on Friday night between Thursday's national semifinals and Saturday's national championship game.

Cooper's performance was a fitting end to one of the most celebrated careers in men's basketball program history. Cooper, a two-time First-Team All-Northeast-10 Conference selection, will leave as the 10th highest scorer in program history with 1,503 career points. He also ranks seventh in school history with 704 rebounds, fifth with 211 steals, and 11th with 74 blocks.
