First 150 FPU Students Admitted FREE with Valid School ID

RINDGE, N.H. (February 27, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s basketball team will open post-season play on Sunday afternoon when the Ravens play host to Le Moyne at 3 p.m. in The Fieldhouse in Rindge in the quarterfinals of the 2014 Northeast-10 Conference Championship.

Tickets for the game are $8 for adults, $5 for children and seniors, and $1 for college students with a valid NE-10 ID. The first 150 Franklin Pierce students that present their school ID at the front door will have the cost of their ticket covered, courtesy of Franklin Pierce Athletics.

The Ravens are the second seed in the Northeast Division of the league standings, while Le Moyne is the third seed in the Southwest Division. The teams are meeting for the second time this year with Franklin Pierce picking up a 72-67 victory in Syracuse back on Feb. 1. Senior guard Andre Blackwood (Paterson, N.J.) came off the bench to pump in a season-high 17 points to lead the Ravens to victory.

Franklin Pierce concluded the regular season with a 20-6 overall record and a 15-6 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference. Le Moyne finished with a 16-10 regular season record, and a 13-7 mark in league play.

The winner of Sunday’s quarterfinal game will advance to the NE-10 semifinals on Wednesday.
