RINDGE, N.H. (April 18,
2011) -- Three Franklin Pierce University
student-athletes, men's basketball's Kinard Dozier (Dedham,
Mass.), women's basketball's Marielle Giroud
(Martigny, Switzerland) and ice hockey's Sean
Woodring (Rogue River, Ore.), were recently named to the
2011 Northeast-10 Conference Winter All-Academic Teams for their

(FAR).

in a Ravens' uniform in 2010-11. He led the team in scoring (14.9
ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg), while ranking 17th in the league in

and ranked among the top-10 in both the league and nationally in
that category. He finished his career with 1,425 points, which is
10th most in program history, while also breaking the school record
for highest career free throw percentage.
Giroud, a junior majoring in biology, was named the 2011
Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, while also
earning a spot on the all-league first-team. She ranked among the
conference leaders in numerous categories, including: scoring
(10th, 14.3 ppg); rebounding (5th, 8.7 rpg); field goal percentage
(13th, .481); assists (9th, 3.47 apg); free throw percentage (15th,
.736); steals (7th, 2.03 spg); blocked shots (14th, 0.81 bpg);

2.75 orpg); and defensive rebounding (7th, 5.97 drpg). Giroud
helped guide the Ravens to a 24-8 mark this past season, while also
leading the program to its fourth-straight NCAA Division II
Tournament appearance.
Woodring, a senior majoring in biology, scored four goals and
assisted on six others this season for 10 points, including
one-game winning goal. He was one of this year's senior leaders who
helped guide the Ravens to the most wins in a single season
(overall and conference) in program history. The team finished
third in the conference regular season standings, which was its
highest finish ever.
