RINDGE, N.H. (October 19, 2019) – Franklin Pierce University freshman Tyvarius Daniels (Springfield, Mass.) returned an interception for a touchdown as the Ravens dropped a Northeast-10 Conference battle to Saint Anselm College 50-10 Saturday afternoon on Sodexo Field. With the win, the Hawks move to 2-5, 2-3 NE10 and the Ravens lost their sixth battle and fifth league game.

With 8:37 left in the third quarter, Daniels picked off Hawks quarterback Eric Fairweather and made a house call for the Ravens lone touchdown. Freshman kicker Morgan Smith (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) converted the extra point and a 31-yard field goal for a four-point effort. It was one of three interceptions for the newcomer as well.

Smith's field goal came off a two minute and 41-second yard drive to conclude the first half. The Ravens converted two third downs in the drive a four-yard dash by freshman Tyler Jones (Hollywood, Fla.) and a six-yard Drew Campanale (Shrewsbury, Mass.) strike to KJ Lewis (Reisterstown, Md.) to keep the ball in the Ravens hands.

The Hawks, led by signal caller Fairweather who threw for four touchdowns, helped guide his squad to 294 yards of total offense. His team jumped out to a 30-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

The Ravens look to end their skid next Saturday, October 26th when they head to American International College for a noon showdown.
