RINDGE, N.H. (June 23, 2021) -- Senior catcher Dylan Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) of the Franklin Pierce University baseball team has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-America Second Team, as announced earlier this spring by the NCBWA.

Jones adds his first career All-America honor to what was already a busy awards season. The senior backstop was also a consensus All-East Region First Team selection, as he earned the honor from each of the three organizations which select All-Region teams. Prior, Jones was the Northeast-10 Conference's Northeast Division Player of the Year and an All-NE10 First Team selection as well.

Jones put together a .381/.444/.672 slash line for a 1.116 OPS over 134 at-bats (51-for-134), with a team-leading 16 doubles, one triple and seven home runs, all while catching every game for the Ravens. He scored 38 runs, drove in 37 and stole nine bases without being caught. Jones finished the season eighth in the nation in doubles per game (0.48), tied for 39th in doubles (16) and 49th in hits per game (1.55).

Franklin Pierce (22-11) finished its season with the program's 16th all-time selection, and third straight, to the NCAA Championship. The Ravens hosted NCAA regional play at Pappas Field for the ninth time in 16 seasons.
