RINDGE, N.H. (May 23, 2019) – Senior left fielder Brad Roberto (San Diego, Calif.) of the Franklin Pierce University baseball team has been selected to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-East Region Second Team, as announced on Thursday. The NCBWA All-Region teams are selected by media members and sports information directors within each of Division II’s eight regions.

For Roberto, it marked his second All-Region selection of the spring, as he also landed on the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-East Region Second Team earlier this month. Roberto was also an All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team selection.

Roberto played in all 53 games in the outfield for the Ravens, largely in left field, and split time between the leadoff spot and the three-hole. He hit .342/.466/.492 over 199 at-bats (68-for-199), with an on-base percentage which ranks third in the NE10, a batting average which ranks eighth, and a slugging percentage which is tied for 12th. Roberto also leads the NE10 in walks (47) and hits (68), is tied for third in triples (4), and is ranked fourth in runs scored (46). He has 10 doubles and four home runs on the season, and has driven in 33 runs. The 47 walks came against just 24 strikeouts. Roberto is currently ranked eighth in the nation in walks and 22nd in walks per game (0.89).

The Ravens (29-24) captured their league-record sixth NE10 title this spring, and qualified for the NCAA Championship for the 15th time in program history.
