RINDGE, N.H. (May 15, 2019) – Senior left fielder Brad Roberto (San Diego, Calif.) of the Franklin Pierce University baseball team has been selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Second Team, as announced on Wednesday. The D2CCA All-Region teams are nominated for and selected by the sports information directors within each of Division II’s eight regions.

For Roberto, who was an All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team selection earlier this spring, it marks his first career All-Region selection.

Roberto has played in all 50 games in the outfield for the Ravens, largely in left field, and has split time between the leadoff spot and the three-hole. He is currently hitting .349/.475/.511 over 186 at-bats (65-for-186), with an on-base percentage which ranks second in the NE10, a batting average which ranks sixth, and a slugging percentage which ranks ninth. Roberto also leads the NE10 in walks (46), is tied for second in hits, is ranked third in runs scored (50) and is tied for third in triples (4). He has 10 doubles and four home runs on the season, and has driven in 33 runs. The 46 walks have come against just 24 strikeouts. Roberto is currently ranked 11th in the nation in walks per game (0.92).

The NE10 champion Ravens (28-22) open their 15th all-time appearance in the NCAA Championship on Thursday, when they meet top seed and host Adelphi in the opening game of the East Regional. First pitch is set for noon at William J. Bonomo Field in Garden City, N.Y.
