Baseball Suspended Due to Darkness at AIC After Seven Innings

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 26, 2019) -- Due to a scheduling issue with the umpires, the Franklin Pierce University baseball team saw the start of its non-conference game at American International on Tuesday afternoon delayed by more than an hour. As a result, the two teams were unable to complete the game at Bedard Field, and it was suspended after seven innings. The game will be completed at a later date.

Franklin Pierce trailed 6-0 through seven innings when the game was halted due to darkness. The two teams have not yet agreed on a date to reconvene and complete the game, but do intend to do so.

A full recap of the contest will be available upon its completion.
