Drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 47th round (1,424 overall) of the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

As a Junior in 2011: Appeared in 12 games on the mound for the Ravens, including 11 starts...All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team selection...Northeast-10 All-Championship Team selection...Ranked 13th in the nation in strikeouts per nine innings (11.27), tied for 30th in wins (9) and ranked 36th in strikeouts (93)...Ranked fifth in the Northeast-10 in wins...Ranked second on the team in wins and ranked third in ERA (2.30), complete games (2), innings pitched (74.1), strikeouts and opponent batting average (.216, 58-for-269)...Went 9-2, allowed 23 runs (19 earned) on 58 hits, walked 30, hit six batters and threw nine wild pitches...In his Franklin Pierce debut, started, allowed three runs on two hits over three innings, walked five, struck out five and did not factor in the decision against C.W.
