Bio

Finished his career as the program's all-time leader in strikeouts (261), earned-run average (1.78) and innings pitched (294.0). Also left Franklin Pierce second in program history in  wins (25) and appearances (52).

Set program records for wins (11, 2008) and innings pitched (112.0, 2008) in a single season. Recorded the second-most strikeouts (113, 2008), second-best earned-run average (1.36, 2008) and sixth-best earned-run average (1.73, 2007) in a single season in program history.

As a Graduate Student in 2010: Made 11 appearances on the mound for the Ravens, including 10 starts...Daktronics All-East Region Second Team selection...All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team selection...Ranked sixth in the nation in hits allowed per nine innings (5.24), 51st in ERA (2.69), 86th in walks allowed per nine innings (2.01) and tied for 97th in wins (7)...Ranked third in the Northeast-10 Conference in opposing batting average (.169, 39-for-231), tied for third in wins and ranked 19th in ERA...Ranked second on the team in wins and opposing batting average and third in ERA and innings pitched (67.0)...Posted a 7-1 record with two complete games and one shutout...Allowed 22 runs (20 earned) on 39 hits, walked 15, threw five wild pitches, hit eight batters and struck out 44...Tossed six innings, allowed two unearned runs on five hits, did not issue a walk and struck out seven to pick up the win in the season-opener against Nyack on 3/5...Fired eight shutout innings, gave up one hit and struck out six to notch the win against Caldwell on 3/13...Named Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on 3/14...Chucked five innings, allowed three runs on four hits, walked one and struck out four on his way to the win in the first game of a doubleheader against Molloy on 3/19...Threw a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts at Saint Anselm on 3/26...Tossed a scoreless, hitless inning of relief with two walks to pick up the win out of the bullpen at Bentley on 3/31...Fired 9.2 shutout innings, allowed four hits and struck out seven, but did not factor in the decision at Merrimack on 4/8...Chucked 5.2 innings, allowed two runs on three hits, walked two and struck out two to pick up the win against Merrimack in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on 5/9...Threw a complete game, allowed two runs on six hits, walked one and struck out five (to break the program record for career strikeouts) to pick up the win against Minnesota State, Mankato in an elimination game at the NCAA Championship National Finals on 5/25.

As a Senior in 2009: Made six starts on the mound for the Ravens...Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection...Posted a 1-3 record and a 1.34 ERA over 33.2 innings...Allowed eight runs (five earned) on 19 hits, walked 10, threw three wild pitches, hit nine batters and struck out 42...Started, threw five hitless innings, walked one and struck out five to pick up the win in a season-opening no-hitter at Dowling on 2/21...Named Northeast-10 Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on 2/22...Started, threw eight innings, allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits, did not issue a walk, struck out four but was tagged with the loss in the first game of a doubleheader at Adelphi on 2/28...Started, tossed 6.2 innings, allowed one unearned run on two hits, walked three and struck out a career-high 13, but took the loss in the first game of a doubleheader against Dominican on 3/13...Named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on 3/15...Started, fired 7.2 innings, allowed one run on five hits, walked three and matched his career high with 13 strikeouts against St. Thomas Aquinas on 3/19...Named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on 3/22.
2009 Statistics

As a Junior in 2008: Daktronics and ABCA/Rawlings Northeast Region Pitcher of the Year and Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Year. Consensus All-Region and NE-10 All-Conference first team pick. Made 17 appearances on the mound, posting a school-record 11 wins in 15 starts and also recording two saves. Led the Northeast-10 in innings pitched (112.0) and wins (11) and finished second in ERA (1.36), opposing batting average (.183) and strikeouts (113). Struck out 10 while allowing one run on three hits in a season-opening complete-game win over Wilmington (3/2). Tossed a complete-game shutout against Saint Rose (5/1), striking out 11 and allowing only four hits. Recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts in seven innings in the NE-10 Tournament opener versus Bentley (5/7), then came back to earn the save with 1.2 scoreless innings in the Tournament title game against Southern Connecticut (5/11). Named to the NCAA Northeast Regional All-Tournament team after earning two wins and allowing three earned runs in 14.0 innings of work. Allowed one run in six innings to earn the win in the Regional opener against C.W. Post (5/15), then came back on three days rest and struck out 10 in eight innings to clinch the Regional title versus Bryant (5/19).
2008 Statistics

As a Sophomore in 2007: All-Northeast-10 first team honoree. Made 15 appearances and nine starts, posting a 6-0 record and 61 strikeouts in 78 innings. Struck out nine batters and allowed only one run in seven innings against Molloy (3/17). Named NE-10 Pitcher of the Week (4/17) after going 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 11 innings of work, including tying a season-high with nine strikeouts in six scoreless innings against Merrimack (4/9). Allowed only one hit in eight innings in his final start of the season, an eight-inning effort against Angelo State (5/26) in the Division II Championships.
2007 Statistics

As a Freshman in 2006: Appeared in three games on the mound, posting a 3.38 ERA in 2 2/3 innings of work. Made his first collegiate appearance against Post (3/4), working a scoreless inning with one strikeout.
