EASTON, Mass. (June 25, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics has had 218 student-athletes named to the Northeast-10 Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2019 semester, as announced on Monday afternoon by the Conference office.

The Academic Honor Roll – which was previously known as the Commissioner’s Honor Roll -- acknowledges the commitment of NE10 student-athletes to excel in the classroom with three designations: Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49 GPA). In addition to the new name, the tiers of recognition are new to the Honor Roll program in 2018-19.

Franklin Pierce had 29 student-athletes earn perfect, 4.0 GPAs last semester to earn Academic Excellence honors. They were followed by 94 student-athletes in the Academic Distinction category and 95 student-athletes in the Academic Honors designation.

Across the board, 13 of 15 NE10 schools had at least half of their student-athletes earn Academic Honor Roll accolades of some form, for the third straight semester. In all, 3560 student-athletes were recognized by the Conference, which represents 60% of the league’s student-athlete population. The figure included 311 NE10 student-athletes who earned perfect, 4.0 GPAs in the fall.
